Monitoring organizational Article Processing Charges (APCs) using external sources

As open access publishing has become more widespread and required by research funders the community, management monitoring of article processing charges (APCs) have emerged as an important task in organisations around world. Within this tendency, a question comprehensiveness organisational APC relevant. This case study demonstrates how in-house can be evaluated using international bibliographic information sources like Web Science Scopus, where it is possible to identify corresponding author, well Unpaywall DOAJ, which contain about statuses APCs articles. Based on results, assumed that organisation’s bookkeeping succeeded registering 52 percent invoices while 48 not been identified. The results show number unreported publications openly published whose author affiliated with university almost equal those registered university’s institutional report. describes stages data collection order implementation, allows similar review feasible another organisation. At end article, development proposals are presented for both organisations’ content publishers’ invoices.
